Every time I open Firefox, I get this page: chrome://asf/content/help/update.xhtml
I have done everything it says, but it still comes back.
Is there a way to stop this?

Same thing started happening for me sometime today. Any new window comes with this tab included. And ASF stopped working. Tried removing and reinstalling with no luck.

This started happening after I isntalled the Firefox 18 update. I did a system restore to an earlier version of Firefox and the problems was solved. But the minute I installed the Firefox 18 update, the page started reappearing.

Yeah, ASF is pretty much unusable due to this. It's like a virus that pop-ups a message every time you open up a new window, extremely annoying.

Just found out that there is a fix for this in a beta release:

1.0.5bRev123

Which you won't get with the automatic update until a non beta update is released.

You can get 1.0.5bRev123 from the "Beta Versions" in the Download page.

Once installed, you will get the tab opening again (as would normally happen with any update), but just the once. Close and re-open FF, or open another window and it doesn't turn up again.

Hello,

Sorry the fix is currently only available as beta release, from the download page:
http://asf.mangaheart.org/?menu=2&sub=2

I understand that it's a main problem, but I didn't expect it before Firefox v19 (in few weeks).

I'll have to send a new final version to mozilla soon to fix this for users who don't come on this website.
