User info ASF is not sending its save folder to FF anymore

ASF stopped working for me yesterday...

The correct filtered folder does appear selected in "What should Firefox do with this file?" and "Save File" is selected but when I click OK Firefox just uses the last folder that I saved a file in... the ASF folder is just ignored.

ASF has worked fine for me for several months.

I have reinstalled ASF a few times. I was using the official version but I have now installed the latest beta. I have deleted all my filters and created some new ones. I have also reintalled Firefox 3.6.13. Nothing has solved the problem.

What could be preventing ASF from working correctly?

I'm also on 6.13 and using the latest beta.

It could be the not being set to 2.
(But it should be automatically set when installing ASF the first time, and even when saving the preferences)

Did you try to select another folder (from the radio choice, just before accepting the save) ?
Does the folder exist ? (maybe there's a need to create the folder first)
Are you in Private Browsing Mode ?
-in Private mode, if the folder doesn't exist it's using the last working one in non private mode)
-in private mode, dynamic folder creation is not working (due to previous statement).

do you have any error logged in the console (Ctrl+Shift+J) related to ASF, along with the debugging messages ?

What happened just before it stopped working ? any new add-on installed ?

Sorry, it's difficult to spot the problem.

Well, ASF started working correctly today! I have no clue why but I am happy it's working again.

I did not try selecting another folder when it was not working... I will if ASF acts up again.
The folders I tried do exist... no Private Browsing Mode used... there were no ASF related errors in console (I could see messages indicating ASF checking filters and choosing the correct folder).

I have restored all my previous filters and settings and ASF is working correctly now.

It's annoying not knowing what happened but hopefully it will stay fixed.

It looks like Firefox v.27.0.1 managed to break ASF again. :(
Can't tell if it works every other time when doesn't have to create the destination, or uses FF's own site memory. Seems to be a mix of both.

Again? :(

I'm still on Firefox 25 (because 26 had issues, but ASF worked).
I'll test Firefox 27 and I hope I can fix the issue.
Thanks for reporting it.
