Every time i open my browser a tab is opened with

Thank you for installing Automatic Save Folder.
[...]
Important updates:
Version 1.0.2 :
[...]

OS: Ubuntu 14.04
Browser: Firefox 34.0
Plugin Version: 1.0.4

I guess it is because i am using the Firefox Sync feature.
How to remove this behavior?

I'm also experiencing same issue as well

Automatic Save Folder 1.0.4
Firefox 34.0
Windows 7 (x64)

Every time I close then start Firefox again, it will always load the update page.

I also have the same problem when the 1.0.4.1-signed update came in 28May15

Others are also reporting the same thing at;
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/automatic-save-folder/

I looked thru the about:config page, but found nothing to turn this off.

Hello,

The problem is that the configuration about version is cleared after Firefox close and when it restarts as version field is blank it assumes new installation.

Meanwhile it is not fixed I had solved it using "user.js" advanced config. Go to your firefox profile folder, usually something like in Windows 7:

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\SomeLetters.default

and create a file called "user.js" with this content (using in example notepad):

--------------
// Keep version field filled
user_pref("extensions.asf.version", "1.04-1");
--------------

Without the dashed lines. Keep sure that your file is named "user.js" not "user.js.txt", show extensions or use a CMD.exe console.

Keep in mind that this could prevent the plugin to be auto updated. If it does not work for you, just erase the "user.js" file to avoid side effects in the future. If you already have a "user.js" that you are not aware of it, you may be infected by some adware, search bar, ... you can remove it or add this above lines to your file.

Hello,

After some test, my procedure avoids the unexpected tab open but the plugin seems to not work. Finally I had changed the "autoupdate" in Firefox -> AddOns -> Automatic Save Folder to "NO" and installed the "Automatic_Save_Folder_1.0.5bRev128.xpi" from http://asf.mangaheart.org/?menu=2&sub=2 and everything seems to be working fine again.

I had deleted my "user.js" file.
