User info [Done in r115] Filter by URL and referrer

Ive come across many websites that do not use subdomains to segregate their users, and multiple sites that host their files on one common server or cdn, which throws off the filters or the site-by-site last folder option, so I humbly request an option to create filters for those, if not too difficult to implement.

ASF can actually filter on 5 different URL type.

1- File's domain
2- File's URL
3- File's URL + Filename
4- Tab's domain (or the file's domain if no data is found)
5- Tab's URL (or the file's URL if no data is found)

And they can be combined to be checked in whichever order you want.
Go to ASF preferences/page 2/while filtering : select the order, coma separated type number.
Default value is 1,5

There's no Referer's URL.
I can check if I can add it as a sixth URL type.

aha! Thank you for the reply. Ill be using 3 and 5. A referrer option would be most useful too. Thanks again!

I added the Referrer's URL as the 6th Domain Type in the beta r115 :)

Awesome! Actually, noticed the option when upgrading a few days ago. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test it as all of my filters seemed to have ceased to function :(

You upgraded from which version?

Maybe I messed the upgrading part.
I try to convert old values to new ones after a Add-on update when required.
Maybe the script didn't work correctly.

Try export, and import all again.
The import function should check all the filters one by one.

Also, If you try Firefox11+, it's currently not working.
I have to update the addon to use database access. It came sooner than I thought.

ah, I see. I'm currently using the r117 build on Aurora 12.0a2.

But I could have sworn it didn't work on Firefox 10 either, Ill try reimporting and trying again.

Edit: Nope, I can't get the filters to work on Firefox 10 either.

Humm, that's really strange as I'm using Firefox 10.0.2 and it's working fine.

Verify that you are correctly using the setting "Set by Filter" in option>Page1, if you are not using "always ask me where to save files".

Could you tell me if you have an error related to ASF in the Error console when downloading a file?
Shift+Ctrl+J, clean the window before saving a file.

It will print a lot of information regarding the file and the filters.
I would be interested to see that log.

The r116-117 are experimental (though, it would be great if it works, as it's updated in prevision to v2.0).
Did you try r115?

About the problem on Firefox11+ is that it fail to detect other add-ons correctly to prevent conflict. You see red text in the setting dialog, but the filters should work fine.

here you go, Both in 10.0.2

In r117:

Automatic Save Folder :
These data will be used to verify the filters :
Filename: 25551993.jpg
Domain test order: 3,5
1 - File's domain: http://img04.pixiv.net
2 - File's URL: http://img04.pixiv.net/img/syounen_no_uta/
3 - Full file's URL: http://img04.pixiv.net/img/syounen_no_uta/25551993.jpg
4 - Page's domain: http://www.pixiv.net
5 - Page's URL: http://www.pixiv.net/bookmark_new_illust.php
6 - Page's referrer:
7 - Tab's URL content: http://www.pixiv.net/bookmark_new_illust.php
----------
Automatic Save Folder :
Filter 1 matched domain type : 3
----------
Automatic Save Folder :
Filter 1 is matching both domain and filename.
Domain: http:\/\/img[0-9]+\.pixiv\.net\/img\/syounen_no_uta
Filename: *
Folder: C:\Users\Ichiro\Desktop\Rebirth\Art\PIXIV\32777-Masao
----------
Automatic Save Folder :
save location changed to: C:\Users\Ichiro\Desktop\Rebirth\Art\PIXIV\32777-Masao

In r115:

Automatic Save Folder :
These data will be used to verify the filters :
Filename: 25530486.jpg
Domain test order: 3,5
1 - File's domain: http://img04.pixiv.net
2 - File's URL: http://img04.pixiv.net/img/syounen_no_uta/
3 - Full file's URL: http://img04.pixiv.net/img/syounen_no_uta/25530486.jpg
4 - Page's domain: http://www.pixiv.net
5 - Page's URL: http://www.pixiv.net/bookmark_new_illust.php

Thanks :)

By the look of both logs, they are identical (so working the same way), and they both worked fine:
- They are using the Domain type 3 (the one with full URL to the file).
- The filter 1 is matching the domain
- The filter 1 is matching the filename
As the Filter 1 is matching both, Automatic Save Folder change the save folder to C:\Users\Ichiro\Desktop\Rebirth\Art\PIXIV\32777-Masao (the one set in your filter).
So, up to this point, all is good.

But when you accept the download, then the file explorer doesn't open that folder?

I fear it's caused by the new saving method of Firefox 7.0.1+
As it's now using the Domain to store the last used folder on a site-by-site basis, it's possible that it's using the current website's domain (http://www.pixiv.net) and not the file's domain (http://img04.pixiv.net).

in ASF 1.0.4 I'm using the Website's domain, but there were a problem when the link was located in an iframe loaded from another domain.
Firefox is using the correct domain from the iframe's URL, but I don't know how to detect and access iframe's content from the saving dialog :(

So when using the website's domain it's not good, and when using the file's domain it's not good either :(
I'll have to make more test on that new site-by-site method. It's really annoying.
