the idea to save files into a dynamic folder, gathered from the link/file data is a great idea, but its current implementation is rather basic. Most of all, I would like to stop ASF from creating folders entirely, instead only allowing to use those dynamic folder paths that already exist on my hard-drive.

For example: I get things like 'apple' or 'orange' from a regular expression matching the file-url and these folders already exist on my drive as D:\apple and D:\orange. If the folder does not exist already (like D:\strawberry or D:\watermelon) then I want to save the file automatically in the default folder D:\fruits.

This should be possible to configure on a per filter setting, allowing the general use of the browser, when the filter is not matched, to remain unchanged.

The one big reason why I would like to have this feature: because it is currently only possible by creating one filter per local path (for apple, orange, etc). Creating and maintaining possibly dozens of (very similar) filters is a real pain!

I understand what you want, and why.
It could be added as I can check is a path already exists or not.
Per filter setting will be possible only when I update ASF to 2.0 with database (to store a lot more options per filter), but I'm very sorry that I'm not currently working on this addon :(
it would require almost a full rewrite of the code. I have the ideas but not the time to do it.
