Hi there, u got a very nice addon. ;)

But would it be possible to set the folder that I defined in the filter for my extention to be the same when I choose the open with (program) dialog?

I'm not sure I understand your request.

When you choose "open with", there is no folder, only a list of program to choose from.
If the program you want is not present, you can click "browse" and it will open the file explorer in "program files" where you should save your programs (well, usually you put them here).

This folder seems hardcoded inside Firefox, I can't control the opened folder from this dialog.

If that's not what you wanted to ask, please let me know.

Hm ok, I have one extention that I open with a program.

So my question was if you or I could define the folder when I select the option "open with". Atm it saves the File into the temp folder of the system. Maybe there is a way that the filter of your addon sorts the file into the folder I set in the filter?

You mean the temporary file location then ?

It's also the place where the file is located when you are still choosing "what firefox should do with this file", it's starting downloading in the background until you select an action, then if you decide to save it, the file is moved to the filtered folder. until then, the name is often random characters.

I don't know if Firefox can specify a different location instead of the OS's "temporary downloaded files" folder.

I didn't find any preference in the "about:config" that ASF could modify.
It seems to be hardcoded in firefox script. Maybe it can still be done with an extension, but I don't have the knowledge to do it myself right now.
