Hi Cyan,

My machine gets used by my family, and I end up using "Private browsing" regularly. Files that I download while doing this get put into the same folders as what my daughter uses :o . Would it be possible to test in the code for the case where Private Browsing is active, and use a different set of filters/folders when doing that? If a whole new set of filters is hard to do, maybe just the default folder can be different when private browsing?

I hope this is a good suggestion, I think it would make a big difference.

Regards
Adrian

Hello,

It saves to the last known working folder you used in "non private mode" only if the folder you try to create with dynamic folder doesn't exist yet.
It's a behavior from Firefox, it's not my add-on which is restricting the selection/creation of unknown path.

But, the private browsing mode should work fine if the folder already exists on your HDD.

Another thing which doesn't work in Private Browsing Mode is the DownThemAll! integration.
I decided to limit the access to dTa! in private mode, because I can't clean its data myself, so it works only in normal mode.

The hole new set could be hard. It's more a way to store them than switching them. maybe when I'll use sqlite database instead of user preferences, I will have more possibilities. but I don't guarantee you I'll do it.

I'll check the idea of defining a default folder for private browsing mode only though, it might work fine.

Thanks for the idea :D
